A rather grim fare, wouldn't you say?

It is but I enjoy/enjoyed both.

Just finished Atlanta, which was equal parts grim and fairly funny.

Have recently watched The Keys of the Kingdom, a very beautiful wee film starring Gregory Peck as a missionary priest in China

I'm a fan of Atlanta. Was a little unnerved by the episode about Octoberfest in Helen, GA. It played the same day day I returned from a trip to Helen. lol...They're watching me...

Gundam Wing (subtitled). I'm a fan of anime and enjoy a variety of shows. Also have to get around to finishing Robotech. About halfway through the original series.

Robotech is classic. I miss the old cartoons from the '80s.

Robotech is basically an edited and 'arranged' version of several shows in the Macross franchise, which had far more entries than what was published here in the US under the Robotech name. I have yet to see the original series, although there are some purists who swear by it.

I've been waiting for something like this.. Now I get a chance to revive my favorite thread!
So, what is everyone watching now?

I must say that I recently watched Dunkirk, and for a movie about a triumphal moment it was incredibly depressing....Anyon else seen it?

I quite liked Dunkirk which I saw some time back. I thought it was powerful and very human.

Currently loving The Handmaids Tale. Interesting premise , not beyond the realm of possibility that a theocracy may gain power in the future, heaven forfend!

What's a show? Can you eat it?

I largely don't watch TV anymore, unless it's religious in nature (I just watched The Passion of Christ and Paul, Apostle of Christ these past two weeks).

Not exactly entertainment, I know, but I've really enjoyed a Gresham Lecture series on early Christian music by Christopher Page (YouTube).

Thanks for mentioning that series of lectures. I was totally unfamiliar with the Gresham Lectures and it looks like there is a lot of good stuff available there.

I've only recently come across Gresham College too (through a Google search!), even though I lived in London for years. I agree, the lectures look fascinating and there is such a range.

My wife and I only have internet, Amazon Prime, and a Netflix subscription. Between my wife and I, our current ongoing ones (some are obviously on their hiatus, so this is NOT all at once) are: The Crown, Call the Midwife, Victoria, The Great British Baking Show, Game of Thrones, Outlander, Star Trek: Discovery, Endeavour. There may be others, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Finished up Derry Girls. A tad profane in a Northern Irish way but laugh out loud funny.
