Can us anglicans ask for intercession from Mary and the saints?

    This is another of those things I used to do, realised it just wasn't necessary and stopped doing. I do not agree however that the mere presence of an image such as stained glass is idolatry. Read the second commandment - idolatry involves bowing down to and worshiping false idols.

    Nor do I but the author of the homily "On Peril of Idolatry" seems to think so.

    And I think it's safe to say that Cranmer would be quite bemused by your profile picture!
