What do you guys think of southwest Florida? I am thinking of moving there with my family... what are the people like (compared with other Floridians or americans largely), and the anglican scene

I lived in St. Pete for a few years and loved it. Is that South enough? Like most areas in Florida, most of the folks are imports from somewhere else. A lot of former New Yorkers and New Englanders as retirees, and Canadian Snowbirds. As far as an anglican scene, there are lots of TEC churches which are pretty liberal but there tends to be a good number of ACNA and continuing churches, though the latter's congregations are older in my experience.

FYI- Clearwater, FL is Scientology "mecca", the HQ of that religion. There are a lot of Scientologists living there and they are pushy. Fair warning.
