How about a section that includes pastoral resources and surving in everyday Church life.

Faculties anyone. Staying sane whilst coping with yet another PCC meeting. Childrens resources. Hopefully that will give an idea.
The Anglican church is not moribund in its own history and I am assuming that posters on this forum may well be active in various way with in their local parish churches. :)

    How about this--
A single"Pastoral Resources" Forum with multiple threads in it?
We're open to a lot of ideas here.

    How about two main forums.

    Pastoral Resources
This could be created with subsections on sources of help, links to sound URL's. Maybe things such as 'A church near you', encouragement and prayer for another.
It would also be good to link into various anglican pastoral liturgical sources such as the various prayers people can use in their own homes in times of real need. Often when life gets very stressful many find such things a useful starting point.
I would also like to see a caveat that no online counselling, healing etc should take place in a forum context. Its most unwise and potentially dangerous. Its safer to signpost people into contacting their local church/diocese office/cathedral helpdesk etc as the first point of contact when in real need.

    Church Life
A place that can also have subsections. Over time it may be possible to provide subforums for those in different countries as the anglican church in Africa is culturally lived different to say Asia and so on. A section for humour because if we cannot laugh at some of the daft things we do to ourselves we will be in real trouble [Ship of Fools as an example] A stickied link to online anglican liturgies such as Common Prayer /Various main anglican church world websites. A place to share the joys and woes of being part of a group of people- with the reminder about confidentiality and not id'ing others online. Gossip can wreck church life faster than anything.
It may be someones church has worked hard on something and its worked well and the theological thinking and outcomes are worth sharing with others.

The important thing is not to create a forum that takes more than a few minutes to scroll down. Lots of seperate forums can cause this. Subforums can make forums a little harder to admin/mod but they can also allow users to open and close folders depending on the coding system. It needs to be set up to make for easy admin oversight as well as being user friendly.
