Hello all, A few friends of mine and myself have decided to start a new ministry. It is a simple one, rather, but one we feel necessary. We wish to begin intercessory prayer for our orthodox brothers and sisters in progressive dioceses in the Episcopal Church. We want to offer you fellowship with others in similar situations and offer you encouragement but most of all to include you in our prayers. If you find yourself in this situation, please message me and include some information about yourself (diocese, parish, etc.). God bless, The Hackney Hub
I just started promoting the idea so it haven't been receiving many names yet but feel free to promote the idea elsewhere!
Fr. Jonathan, have you read Phillip Wainwright's blog "The Barnabas Project"? (http://barnabasproject.wordpress.com/). He's in TEC Diocese of Pittsburgh.
It's easy to get lost in the issues and allow our prayer life to suffer. Great idea for much needed prayer in TEC and also for all Anglicans. Peace, Anna
Sounds like a great idea! I'm in TEC and I am in a traditional parish. Our diocese would probably be best described as pretty theologically orthodox, but moderate to liberal on social issues.
I would like to mention that this kind of prayer really matters. It is of tremendous worth and importance. I've seen firsthand the impact that prayers from outside our parish/diocese have had on us. The Lord continues to do great things. Keep up the good work, prayer warriors!
Yes, Adam, these prayers do matter. As you know, I've experienced this firsthand as well. Peace and blessings, Anna
