Hi Folks, It's been awhile. Sorry. :-/ Anyway, I'm getting ordained this weekend to the diaconate, I finish seminary this semester (crazy), and my wife is having our first child in April. So my time has become even more limited. So I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions of Patristic and/or Anglican works tackling a theology of ordination? I know the West (following St. Augustine) generally has said ordination marks a man 'indelibly' just like baptism. The East (to my knowledge) focuses on other items. I guess my question is do the East and West have any interaction with each other on this topic to anyone's knowledge? Thanks, CC
Dear @Cranmer's Crosier as you may know we are putting the finishing touches on a re-publication Bishop Sparrow's commentary on the Book of Common Prayer, wherein he treats of the Rite of Ordination. You should be able to find something of interest there. http://forums.anglican.net/threads/classical-anglican-works.849/#post-21721
