I wrote in another thread recently, that we will be upgrading to the next version of our forum software (Xenforo 2.0), some time in 2022. I know that change is hard, but for security's sake if nothing else, we need to stay current with the latest software versions. And when we move to XF2.0, we will also have to get a new forums theme. Now we could go with one of the standard issue themes, but the thought was: why not take it to the next level, and really match it to the Classical Documents published on anglican.net? That will really set us apart from other online communities, and reinforce the classical Anglican ethos and aesthetic that binds all of us here! I personally was in favor of the idea. Now the designer is still far from the final draft on these, but I wanted to post these early concepts, and get your feedback. If you all really don't like things, it will be easy to change course at this stage.
Does anyone think the design is “too busy,” or on the other hand just right, classy, as befits an Anglican aesthetic? That was one of the questions which came down the pike.
I like the way it is now and if it looks good as well I could get behind it, guess will just need to wait and see the final product
