As you possibly know I am quite interested in legal and parliamentary changes for religion in England. Can anyone recommend a book covering approximately 1790 to 1920 that covers emancipation for Roman Catholics, and what religious qualifications you needed to vote and enter Parliament and the civil service. Plus things like the George Cornelius Gorham court case, disestablishment, and the terrible decision to limit the medieval powers of the Bishop of Durham just because they were a mere 800 to 600 years out of date. Call me a polemicist if you like but I'm not interested in Quakers, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc. Thanks all.
