Hello everyone, and thank you for my membership here. I am enjoying reading the fora. I grew up Anglican, then became a Quaker attender for about a decade, and then went through a dark night of the soul. In the last year or so, I've been increasingly drawn home to the Anglican church, and it is such a relief. I'm especially interested in spiritual growth, devotion, and learning more about the Church Fathers. It's a pleasure to be here. Best wishes to everyone.
Wonderful to have you here and to hear you've found your way home. May God richly blessed your time here at the forums.
Thank you my dear brother in Christ. I feel so much gratitude for finding my way here, and back to the church. So I'd say that God has already blessed me so much in His graciousness. It's nice to find like-minded people.
Thank you Philip! I had a wonderful time when I visited your country, and was made to feel very welcome.
Hello and welcome Madeline. I enjoy learning of the Church Fathers as well...such a wealth of deep spirituality to be found in their writings. Many were rather interesting characters as well
Welcome to you too, dear CWJ. I just read your introductory message, and really love the path you're on! It's as it should be that we all encourage each other, pray for one another, and share our joys and sorrows. Thanks for the heads up about the Fathers!
Hi Madeline, great to meet you here. I started out as an Evangelical Anglican many years ago in my teens, but left to join an independent evangelical Church and for a while attended a Baptist Church, visited a charismatic Church and attended a charismatic Christian Union at University. In my early 30s I fell away from my faith - for a variety of reasons basically coming down to wanting to do what I wanted rather than what God wanted. But, over the last year God has called me back to His Church and I now attend an Anglo Catholic Church in the UK. I feel blessed to have found this forum and to be able to share with and learn from others here.
Thanks so much for saying hi, Christina! I think the way you expressed it, that "God called me back to His Church", is perfect, and says so much. I keep running across people who have a spiritual hunger. When I mention that I go to church they become reflective and say, "Really? I should do that too." I think there are a lots of hearts longing for God's word. I hope you're loving it here. There are so many kind and learned people helping us go forward.
