it is ok to like one.s own religion it is not ok to call all others false as it is so often done here
Firstly, I take the view this forum is assertively and intentionally Christian and stands solidly in the tradition of faith and love that has carried the truth of the Gospel as we have found it: and this tradition is generally, and correctly, referred to as Anglicanism. Secondly, we accept and support other Christians who walk in different traditions, and whilst we may have observed flaws, we also observe strengths and do not see them as standing outside the salvation of God in Christ Jesus. Thirdly, we acknowledge that some stand outside the Christian faith altogether, and their salvation is not ours to judge, for it is in the hands of God. Some stand in different faith communities, and some stand outside any faith community. Beyond what we read in Holy Scripture, their ultimate fate is in the hands of God. Fourthly, in the face of Islamic Extremism, Islam in general and some Muslim groups in particular may have been treated a little harshly from time to time in this forum, however given the circumstances, and the position of this forum in general, I think perhaps we deserve a little leeway here. In general, I do not accept the principal assertion of the opening post.I would have hoped for more from a fellow member of the catholic church and an inheritor with us of the kingdom of God. I strongly suggest you do not mistake graciousness for weakness. So now you have an answer.
I disagree with the premise that this forum 'is full of hatred against all other religions'. Since joining this forum, I have found most posters to be courteous and thoughtful, despite differing opinions on several topics. Sometimes things might get a bit heated here from time to time, but that is natural in any conversation, and in an online media, where body language and tone of voice are absent, it isn't always easy to communicate accurately. Perhaps, Nevis, if you simply used more tolerance towards other posters, and applied some patience before demanding instant replies and using namecalling like 'weak' or lacking in courage (on other threads), you would get less agitated. Of course, in the end, if the posters on this forum fail to live up to your expectations, or to respond quickly enough for you, you might consider taking a break from time to time instead of continuing to make posts that just give a view count or criticise the forum. Or, if you are truly unhappy here, you could always leave more permanently. I am not saying you 'should' do this, merely that it is any option that might reduce stress in your life. I have found your posts to be not only passive-aggressive as described by Elmo, but also to be active-aggressive. This is very alienating. If you stay here, please, could you dial back the drama a little? Thank you.
I have not found this forum to be full of hatred. There are some posts I disagree with and I am prepared to argue my position.
