I would like to introduce myself. I am Brother Monty Pitts, OSB. I'm an Anglican Benedictine hermit monk, and I live on Daytona Beach, Florida USA. I'm the Prior Major of the Monastery of the Resurrection of Flowery Branch, GA USA. 40 years a Methodist, 10 an Episcopalian, 18 as an Anglican. My orientation is Anglo-Catholic. I am a conservative. I look forward to learning from all of you. God bless us.
Welcome Br. Monty. I look forward to your views on many subjects, especially from a hermits perspective.
Nice to meet you. Four questions you live on the beach in Daytona? Also how do you live in Daytona and be a Prior Major at a monetary in Georgia? I don't know how monasteries work so just curious? Also does your monetary have a website? Last question, whose jurisdiction are you under?
Hello, Brother Monty. Can you tell us about your 68-year spiritual walk--particularly the 68 years as Methodist, Episcopal, Anglican, and Anglo-Catholic. What are the similarities? what are the differences? Where do you feel God is leading you next in your spiritual walk? Cooper
I suspect that God is leading Brother Monty "next in his spiritual walk" to heaven, but hopefully not too soon. I mean, after being led to Anglicanism, the only other place closer to God is the afterlife, right? Welcome, Brother. I too am curious how you manage the Daytona-plus-Georgia thing.
