I'm a Roman-Catholic struggling with some things going on in my church and with some theological issues. I've been a traditional Catholic for a while (SSPX), but I realised that there are some theological problems. After that I attended a Greek-Orthodox church and read about it. But that didn't convince me. I've watched a few videos with N. T. Wright and that's why I'm now here. There are two Anglican chapels I could go to. But I haven't been there yet. Thanks for reading. God bless you all.
Welcome among us, for as long as you stay. I hope that you find much of value for the journey from your time among us, and if you ultimately decide you would like a home among us, then you will be most welcome.
Hi Severus, I'm a HP fan as well, Hufflepuff House Myself, I started out as a Mormon in Utah, moved to Nevada, then tried the Greek Orthodox as you did. This year I was baptized Episcopalian after attending two years of services and two rounds of Episcopal 101 ("catechism"). What led me to attend in the first place was that LGBT folks are welcome and invited to serve, up to and including becoming priests and bishops. Oh yeah, and the fact that women can serve as well, in any capacity. May you find what is best for you.
It's nice seeing other TEC faces, WinterBird. I will warn, LGBT issues and female ordination are... touchy and contentious issues here. I typically try to not talk about them, personally. Tread carefully. But welcome all the same! Glad you are here.
