A short introduction. I recently was received from the Orthodox Church, and am always wanting to learn more about the faith. I am Episcopalian, and chose this path due to my experience with the Church of England. I look forward to chatting with you all!
Well hello Mr. P! I am a Georgia goober myself. Welcome aboard and God's blessings. Did I understand your op correctly? You are an Episcopalian who is in the process of becoming orthodox? If so, which jurisdiction and why did you feel pulled to the east?
Welcome, I come from an Orthodox background myself and was confirmed in the Anglican Church/REC about a year and a half ago. Glad you're here
No apology is required. We are certainly not sorry that you are here. From which part of Orthodoxy have you come, and because I am confused by North America which Church have you found to be your new home?
I was chrismated into a ROCOR parish in Cambridge back when I lived in the U.K. After moving back, I eventually joined a local Episcopal parish (TEC).
ROCOR = Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (AKA "the strict church", according to priests I've met from the Orthodox Church in America)
Wow that's a new one. I don't know many folks in Georgia who are orthodox and the ones that are were originally protestant and decided to move east not the other way. We're you born orthodox? What made you decide to leave?
Woops...read your later posts. Disregard the questions above. Coming from a theogically conservative background like ROCOR, what drew you TEC and what are your impressions of the state of the church?
