I know what you mean - 10 minutes is a very short time - I would think that once a post has been quoted by someone else or liked it should be blocked from editing.
LOL I think the point was all denominations tend to view theirs as the one true church, that is why they break away in the first place...
Some posters have abused the feature by changing their posts long after the submission. This can substantially the flow of a conversation. All posting should be done responsibly. Posters have the ability to edit their posts for 10 minutes after submitting.
That is a problem for me then I believe I should have the ability to edit my posts without this 10 minute time limit.
I also wish we had longer than 10 minutes. Sometimes I post something that I regret but can't edit because of the 10 minute limit. I wish we had 30 minutes, at least. That would seem reasonable. Edit: editing timeout has been raised to 30 minutes. -admin
I agree with you two. Commenting on a forum is not writing a essay or dissertation, it is just chatting with others and sometimes in the rush some may get things wrong and want to edit what they wrote. Thirty minutes seems a good limit
